ADHD Therapy That Works With You. Not against you.
You're Smart. So why does everything feel so hard?
You know what needs to get done. You may even care deeply about it. But somehow the assignment, project, or everyday task still doesn’t happen until the pressure becomes unbearable. Maybe you procrastinate, feel constantly overwhelmed, struggle to keep up with responsibilities, have trouble finishing what you start, and are exhausted from trying so hard just to stay afloat.
Many adults with ADHD spend years believing they are lazy, careless, or “bad at life.” In reality, many are some of the hardest-working people in the room. They often carry an invisible amount of stress, shame, and mental effort just to do things that seem easy for other people.
ADHD is not a lack of intelligence or potential. It is a difficulty with regulation, prioritization, follow-through, and executive functioning. And when you’ve spent years feeling misunderstood — by teachers, employers, family members, or even yourself — it can start to affect every part of your life.

Hi, I'm Chris Marullo, a licensed therapist, and I specialize in providing online ADHD therapy, executive functioning coaching, and burnout support for adults, college students, and teens throughout Texas and Colorado.
Many of the people I work with are bright and capable but deeply frustrated by how inconsistent they feel. Some are college students struggling to manage independence. Others are adults dealing with chronic burnout, frustrated that they “can’t get it together." Some begin questioning whether ADHD may explain lifelong patterns they’ve never fully understood. Some clients come in newly diagnosed. Others begin questioning if they have ADHD after their child is diagnosed.

Our work is not about judgment, shame, or "trying harder." It’s about understanding how your brain works and building practical strategies that actually fit your life.
Evidence-based methods, tailored to you
As an ADHD-Certified Clinical Services Provider, my approach is rooted in the methods research consistently shows to be most effective. Support is personalized and built around your specific patterns, history and goals.
Executive Functioning Coaching
Build real systems for planning, prioritizing, and following through — not generic advice like "just use a planner," but strategies specifically designed for how ADHD brains manage time, tasks, and attention.
Acceptance & Commitment Therapy
Learn to relate differently to self-criticism and "I'm lazy" narratives — observe them without being controlled by them — and move toward a life guided by what actually matters to you.
Mindfulness-Based Approaches
Build present-moment awareness and impulse regulation, reducing the mental noise so ADHD no longer hijacks your focus without warning.
Psychoeducation
Understanding what's actually happening in your ADHD brain — not what you were told growing up — can itself reduce shame. Knowledge is the first step toward building systems that work.
Together, we focus on approaches that are realistic, sustainable, and tailored to your life — because ADHD support should not feel like forcing yourself into systems that were never designed for how your brain works.
It would be my privilege to work with you.
Specialized support for every stage
Adults
Many adults with ADHD weren't diagnosed until adulthood — or were diagnosed as kids and never got support that actually fit how their brain works. It often shows up as chronic disorganization, missed deadlines, financial impulsivity, or feeling like you're always one step behind. We help adults build systems that work with their brain, not against it.
College Students
College is often when undiagnosed ADHD becomes impossible to ignore — no more built-in structure, no parent managing deadlines, just you and an overwhelming amount of independence. We provide telehealth ADHD therapy and executive functioning support for students at universities throughout Texas — accessible from a dorm room, apartment, or anywhere on campus.
Teens
Teen ADHD often looks like missed homework, emotional outbursts, or being labeled "lazy" or "unmotivated" by people who don't understand what's actually going on. Our therapists provide a judgment-free space — with care that's developmentally appropriate and never condescending.
Anxiety & ADHD Together
ADHD and anxiety co-occur in up to 50% of cases — and treating only one limits how much progress is possible. Our team provides integrated care that addresses how these conditions interact and amplify each other.
Virtual ADHD therapy across Texas
Online therapy allows you to access support from the comfort of your home, apartment, dorm, or office without adding another stressful commute to your schedule.
Having therapy available in a flexible and accessible format makes it easier to stay consistent with support.

Frequently Asked Questions About ADHD
Don't see your question? Our team is happy to help.
Adults can absolutely have ADHD without realizing it — research estimates that many adults with ADHD remain undiagnosed. Many were high-achieving, quiet, or academically successful as children, masking their symptoms through effort and intelligence.
ADHD often becomes harder to manage during major life transitions such as starting college, a new career, or parenthood — when external structure disappears and self-management demands increase. Some adults first recognize their own ADHD after a child in their family receives a diagnosis. With more than 12 years of clinical experience, I work with adults across Texas who are discovering ADHD for the first time and finally finding language for lifelong patterns.
You do not need a formal ADHD diagnosis to begin therapy and benefit from it. Many clients come to me suspecting they have ADHD but without a formal evaluation — and meaningful work can begin right away. We can start addressing the patterns that are getting in your way, whether that is procrastination, overwhelm, difficulty following through, or emotional dysregulation. If a formal diagnosis would be helpful — for academic accommodations, medication, or personal clarity — I can refer you to qualified evaluators in Texas. A diagnosis can open important doors, but it is never a requirement to start making progress.
ADHD in college students is not just about academic probation or dropping out. ADHD in college students often shows up as overwhelm, procrastination, difficulty managing deadlines, inconsistent motivation, trouble prioritizing, burnout, or struggling with independent structure and routines. They often pull all-nighters after waiting until the last minute to study for an exam or finish a paper. Executive functioning challenges make initiation and follow-through genuinely difficult. Online ADHD therapy for college students throughout Texas can help build the practical systems and self-awareness needed to close that gap.
ADHD presents differently in women and girls, which is one of the primary reasons so many go undiagnosed well into adulthood. While the hyperactive-impulsive presentation is more visible and more commonly diagnosed in boys, girls with ADHD more often exhibit inattentive symptoms — daydreaming, disorganization, emotional sensitivity, and internalized anxiety — that are easier to overlook or misattribute to personality. Research shows that women with ADHD are diagnosed on average 5 years later than men, and many are first misdiagnosed with anxiety or depression. Recognizing ADHD in women requires a clinician who understands these nuanced presentations, not just the textbook picture.
Virtual ADHD therapy is highly effective — multiple studies have found that teletherapy produces outcomes comparable to in-person therapy for ADHD, anxiety, and depression. For busy students and working adults, online therapy often improves accessibility and consistency because it eliminates commute time and scheduling barriers, which are themselves difficult to manage with ADHD. As a licensed therapist providing virtual ADHD therapy across Texas and Colorado, I offer individualized, neurodivergent-affirming care using evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy — delivered entirely online, from wherever you are most comfortable.
ADHD frequently causes anxiety and burnout — studies suggest that up to 50% of adults with ADHD also experience a co-occurring anxiety disorder. The connection makes sense: when the brain consistently struggles to manage time, meet expectations, and follow through, the result is chronic stress and the feeling of always being behind. Over time, the effort required to compensate for ADHD symptoms — through perfectionism, overworking, or constant self-monitoring — leads to emotional exhaustion, shame and burnout. Addressing ADHD and anxiety together in therapy produces better outcomes than treating either condition in isolation.
Choosing an ADHD-Certified Clinical Services Provider (ADHD-CCSP) means working with a therapist who has completed specialized training in how the ADHD brain works and which evidence-based interventions are most effective for neurodivergent individuals — beyond what is covered in a standard counseling license. General therapy training often underrepresents ADHD, particularly in adults. As a Licensed Professional Counselor and ADHD-CCSP with more than 12 years of clinical experience, licensed in Texas and Colorado, I bring focused expertise to every session — not just a general understanding of mental health, but a deep knowledge of ADHD specifically.
ADHD therapy and ADHD coaching are related but meaningfully different in scope and depth. Coaching focuses primarily on practical skill-building, accountability, and day-to-day goal-setting — it is forward-looking and does not address underlying mental health concerns. Therapy goes deeper, exploring the emotional, relational, and psychological impact of living with ADHD: the shame, anxiety, low self-esteem, and relationship challenges that often accumulate over years of feeling misunderstood. As a licensed therapist and ADHD-Certified Clinical Services Provider, I integrate the practical strategies of coaching with the clinical depth of therapy — tailored to what each client needs most.
In your first ADHD therapy session, you can expect a relaxed, judgment-free conversation focused on understanding your unique history, challenges, and goals — not a checklist or formal assessment. We will explore what has been getting in your way, what you have already tried, and what you most want to change. There is no pressure to have everything figured out before we start. Most clients leave the first session feeling understood, often for the first time in a long time. From there, we build a plan together that is practical, personalized, and grounded in how your brain actually works — not how you think it should work.
Yes — I provide virtual ADHD therapy to adults, college students, and teens throughout Texas, including Houston, Austin, Dallas, San Antonio, College Station, and surrounding areas. I am also licensed in Colorado and currently accepting new clients.
